Our Services at Delphos Animal Hospital

Drs. Bonnie and John Jones are “partners” in life and practice. They met during their pre-veterinary education and then married upon graduation from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. The Drs. Jones practiced separately in the Delphos area for two years before joining forces in 1987 to open Delphos Animal Hospital.
Dr. Bonnie Jones specializes in pet animal medicine and surgery. She was the valedictorian of her OSU Veterinary class and also received the first Outstanding Senior Clinician award from Ohio State in 1985 in recognition of her “hands on” performance in the OSU veterinary clinics.

Dr. John Jones also practices pet animal medicine and fulfills duties as the hospital’s livestock veterinarian. He has a special interest in small ruminant medicine, providing ultrasound and other reproductive services for livestock owners in Delphos and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Jill Dentel

Dr. Jill Dentel is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. "Dr. Jill" has a special interest in small animal nutrition and surgery, as well as equine dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys riding and showing her Arabian horses, as well as training and showing her Golden Retriever and Miniature American Shepherd.

Assistant Barbara Hooley

Barbara Hooley is our administrative assistant, and has been a part of the DAH staff since March 1990! Barbara enjoys antiques and collecting, gardening, and spending time with her husband, Kevin, and cat, Polly. Barbara sends your pet’s reminders in the mail, in addition to performing many other valuable clerical tasks. We are very proud to have this longstanding member of our staff family!

Assistant MarlaKlaus

Marla Klaus, has served as a Veterinary Assistant or Client Care Specialist since July 2004. Marla states “I wasn’t exactly raised with wolves, but close to it. During my childhood, our farm was home to cows, chickens, sheep, goats, a pony, a horse, geese, ducks, nutria, peacocks, lots of dogs and cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, mice, turtles, a pet skunk, and pet fish. I was blessed with a mom and dad who indulged my love of animals, and five sisters. Now that’s a menagerie!” Marla is pictured here with her Golden Retrievers, “Willie” and “Kramer.”

Veterinary Technician Laura Adkins

Laura Adkins, Veterinary Technician, has been part of the DAH team since April 2009. Laura knew she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine after participating in 4-H for several years. Laura also worked at a horse stable, but she decided that was not enough. She purchased her own Quarter Horse, Lark, and from there her love of horses grew. Laura received her Vet Tech degree from the Vet Tech Institute at the International Business College in Fort Wayne. She shares her home with husband Codey, three dogs, Doc, Savannah and Mosley, and their cat, Sonja.

Becky Jones Client Care

Becky Jones has been a Client Care Specialist at DAH since August 2011. Becky is pictured here with her Goldendoodle, Barney. He loves Becky very much, and the feeling is overwhelmingly mutual! Her compassion and love of animals is obvious, and she says her favorite part of her job is saying hello to our clients and all the furry friends that come through our doors.

Staff Member Linda Krendl

Linda Krendl is originally from Delphos. She and her husband, Pat, returned to the area after Pat’s 25-year Army career came to an end. Linda and Pat are the proud parents of one daughter and four grandchildren. Having grown up with pets ranging from cats and dogs to pigeons, doves and turtles, Linda has always had a passion for animals. All of their four-legged pets are rescues, some with very special needs. Living in a woods gives Linda a lot of room to explore and play with their two dogs, Jenny and Joey, and four cats, Baby (pictured celebrating her 10th birthday), Peanut, Chippie and Blackberry. Linda also keeps busy with her pet hens and one really mean roo!

RVT Cindy Friedhoff

With brother-in-law Dr John’s encouragement, Cindy also has added 7 hens to her pet collection. You can meet Cindy at DAH the first Saturday of every month.

Connie Mauch is a recent addition to our team of Client Care Specialists after having been a client herself for more than a decade. Her love of animals and kindness to people shines through in every interaction with our clients. Since Connie's children have grown up and left home, twin felines, " Buzzy" and "Fuzzy," have taken up residence in their place. Our DAH team will never go hungry, as Connie's favorite pastimes are cooking and baking ( and we get to enjoy her homemade cuisine!).
