At Delphos Animal Hospital, we treat your pets like our own. Every effort is made to assure that your pet always receives the highest level of veterinary care.

We have recently expanded our building to serve our clients better.  The expansion includes 2 new exam rooms, laboratory, pharmacy, dental area, treatment area and reception/check-out area.

Livestock/Horses:

• Preventive care, including physical exams and vaccines for individuals and herds
• Ultrasound and reproductive services
• Routine surgical care, including castrations, dehorning, tail docks
• Dentistry
• In-house specialized lab testing
• Wellness Exams
• Emergency care

Wellness Testing:

We take great pride in keeping our patients healthy and detecting diseases early, when they are more treatable.  In order to do this, we offer wellness packages during exams and prior to surgery:

• Pets under 7 years old: We recommend a simple blood test to monitor kidney and liver functions, as well as blood sugar and protein levels.
• Pets over 7 years old:
• Senior organ function blood test: This simple blood test provides useful indicators of the health and functioning of your pet’s organ systems, including electrolytes, liver and kidney values, sugar, protein and minerals.
• Basic Senior Wellness Testing: Includes a physical exam, organ function blood test, complete blood count, urinalysis, and thyroid blood test (cats only)
• Comprehensive Senior Wellness Testing: Includes a physical exam, organ function blood test, complete blood count, urinalysis, blood pressure monitoring, glaucoma screening, thyroid test, and chest x-rays.

Our Policies:

• We see our patients in the following priority order: emergencies, appointments, walk-ins.  Appointments are strongly recommended.
• Recognizing the dangers of improperly used medications, we prescribe and dispense medications only for those animals that our doctors examine and care for regularly.
• Payment is expected at the time services are provided.  We accept cash, checks and major credit cards.  We can also make recommendations for veterinary pet insurance.
